Hello everyone !

I am Ms Anna Thoren - a teacher who is also a student of pedagogy at the University of Skovde, in the southwest of Sweden. This semester I finished my first thesis in the Advanced level and the subject was "Sense of Coherence and wellbeing among girls in the school setting". I interviewed eight 12-year old schoolgirls in a small town and the conclusion was that they enjoy school a lot and have great plans for the future.

School discipline is the system of rules, punishments and behavioral strategies appropriate to the regulation of children and the maintenance of order in schools. Its aim is to create a safe and conducive learning environment in the classroom.

The aims of education in any particular society are reflected in the needs and values of that society. The right type of education is one which invariably meets the needs and values of that particular society. Any consideration of whether an educational system is providing the right type of nurturing must of necessity take into account the quality of teaching, the ultimate assessment system and the type of individual that the system produces, among others.
